Carpet protection film
Frequently used in construction and refurbishment works, carpet film is sometimes also known as 'carpet shield' or 'carpet protection'.
A carpet protection film is a high-quality self-adhesive film used for covering carpets to protect them from dirt or damage during construction, removals and so on. It can also be used for parties, pet visits and other high-wear or high-dirt situations.
It is intended for synthetic carpets only and so should not be applied to other materials such as wool or cotton. Carpet shield is for temporary use only, generally for up to forty-five days before having to be removed.
Carpet protection films can be regular wound or reverse wound. The regular wound have the adhesive side on the outside of the roll whereas the reverse wound have it inside of the roll.
Carpet films can also be used inside cars during particularly high-wear or high-dirt situations, such as during storms, or when off-road.
They can also be used to remove glass shards carpets. Just flatten the carpet film down on the place where the glass shards are present and peel back the film. Do it twice to be certain of finding all the glass shards.
